Role Overview
The Events Sales Executive will play a key role in supporting the events sales function, working closely with corporate clients, agencies, and destination management companies. This position combines client interaction with administrative coordination, ensuring that all enquiries are handled efficiently and converted into successful bookings through a structured and professional approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Enquiry Handling: Manage incoming event requests across multiple channels, ensuring prompt and professional responses while capturing all relevant details.
- Client Engagement: Serve as an initial point of contact for prospective clients, coordinating meetings, calls, and site visits while nurturing strong working relationships.
- Proposal Development: Assist in preparing customised event proposals and quotations by liaising with internal teams to gather accurate pricing, logistics, and service details.
- Sales Coordination: Monitor the progress of leads, follow up proactively, and support the conversion process by addressing client queries and assisting in negotiations.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of communications and bookings, and coordinate internally to ensure a smooth transition from sales confirmation to event execution.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: Diploma or certification in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field would be considered an asset.
- Driving License: A valid driving license category B is required.
- Experience: Previous exposure to events, hospitality, or a customer-facing sales environment, ideally in an entry-level or internship capacity.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
- Communication Skills: Confident in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Interpersonal Skills: Approachable and relationship-driven, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with familiarity in CRM systems considered beneficial.
- Organisation: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
- Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to managing responsibilities and improving processes.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying challenges and responding with practical, solution-oriented thinking in a fast-paced setting.
