Role Overview
In collaboration with Heroix, our Client within the industrial and manufacturing sector is seeking a driven Sales Executive to support the growth of its commercial, book, and packaging divisions. This role involves a blend of strategic planning, client engagement, and operational coordination, aimed at strengthening market presence both locally and internationally while building lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Execution: Work closely with the Head of Department to roll out sales initiatives aligned with the local market strategy across multiple business divisions.
- Market Development: Conduct ongoing research to identify new business opportunities, target markets, and emerging trends to support expansion efforts.
- Client Engagement: Arrange and attend meetings, trade fairs, and industry events locally and abroad, ensuring effective follow-up and reporting on outcomes.
- Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring timely communication, accurate quotation follow-ups, and consistent service delivery.
- New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify and secure new clients by presenting the Company’s services, preparing quotations, and developing a deep understanding of the estimating process.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare structured monthly reports covering sales activities, client interactions, leads generated, and overall market feedback.
- Internal Coordination: Act as a key liaison between clients, internal teams, and production units to ensure smooth communication and efficient order processing.
- Process Improvement: Support the adoption and effective use of CRM and MIS systems to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Product and Service Enhancement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to contribute to the continuous improvement of product quality and service offering.
- Budgeting and Planning: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and the development of sales and marketing strategies.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: A relevant qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field would be considered an asset.
- Experience: Previous experience in a sales or client-facing role, ideally within manufacturing, printing, or packaging environments, will be advantageous.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications, with an aptitude for learning internal estimating and reporting tools.
- Organisation: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
- Self-Motivated: A proactive and results-oriented approach, with the drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assess challenges, identify practical solutions, and respond effectively to client needs.
