The company operates through a network of branches across the Maltese Islands, offering highly personalised service.

Role Overview

The Business Intelligence Developer will play a pivotal role in driving the Company’s data strategy by developing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs. Working within the Information Technology Unit, this role is suited to a skilled professional who is eager to apply technical expertise to deliver reliable, high-quality insights across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• ETL Development: Implement ETLs using SSIS/Python, and design stored procedures within SQL Server.
• Data Exports: Generate XML/CSV files to facilitate system data exports.
• Reporting: Develop and maintain SSRS and Power BI reports for internal stakeholders.
• Data Governance: Ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data across systems.
• Data Warehousing: Design, build, and implement data warehouse solutions that enable analytics and intelligence capabilities.
• Documentation & Maintenance: Document processes, and design, test, and maintain data flows using Microsoft technologies.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in data development using Microsoft technologies, ideally within the financial sector.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, able to convey complex information clearly.
• Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), SQL, data modelling, SSIS ETL package solutions, SSRS, and Python. Knowledge of DBT, .NET, web applications, and Power BI reporting will be considered an asset.
• Organisation: Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Self-Motivated: Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive in approaching new challenges.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the capacity to resolve complex issues.
