Role Overview
The Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist will support the Business in its data-driven initiatives by managing and analysing relevant datasets, preparing reports, and providing technical expertise. The role includes liaising with stakeholders, supporting policy development, and contributing to organisational objectives through data insights and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage tasks related to the collection, organisation, and analysis of data to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with public and private sector partners to facilitate data sharing, communication, and collaboration on climate and sustainability initiatives.
- Reporting and Documentation: Compile, evaluate, and maintain detailed reports, summaries, and documentation in line with organisational procedures and deadlines.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on relevant topics, policies, and best practices, interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making.
- Policy Monitoring and Representation: Monitor EU and national legislation, participate in committees and consultations, and represent the Business at meetings and conferences locally and internationally.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: Bachelor’s degree at MQF Level 6 in Engineering or relevant discipline; recognised foreign qualifications must be validated by MQRIC.
- Experience: Preferably one year of relevant work experience in data analysis or reporting.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required; proficiency in Maltese is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, verbal, and written communication abilities to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within teams and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data processing software such as Excel and Python, and familiarity with procurement software. Experience in statistical analysis and forecasting tools is considered an asset.
- Organisation: Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational and planning skills.
- Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to completing tasks and supporting objectives.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying issues, analysing data, and providing actionable solutions.
