Chief Digital & Technology Officer

Simonds Farsons Cisk plc is seeking a key executive responsible for leading the Group’s digital transformation and information technology strategy. The selected individual will ensure that digital technologies and data become key enablers of growth, efficiency, and innovation across all Farsons business units — including beverage production, distribution, marketing, sales and retail. The selected individual will define and deliver a secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology roadmap, ensuring the Group’s data assets, systems, and infrastructure support its strategic ambitions and regulatory obligations. They will work closely with the CEO, senior management and cross-functional teams to align all digital and technological initiatives with the Company’s overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Transformation and Data Strategy: Drive the digital transformation agenda through process automation, analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • AI Strategy: Identify and drive AI opportunities to enhance operations, decision-making and customer service.
  • Strategic IT Management: Support senior leadership in executing the organisation’s IT strategy and defining the infrastructure roadmap to achieve business objectives. Monitor emerging technologies and recommend initiatives with measurable business value.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure—including servers, networks, databases, and data centres—across the Farsons Group, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Governance, Compliance and IT Strategy: Develop and enforce IT policies, frameworks and governance practices to ensure transparency, regulatory compliance, operational integrity and strategic alignment.
  • IT Governance: Contribute to the Company’s IT governance framework by promoting transparency, alignment, and strategic value from the IT Operations function.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage operational budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost efficiency across all IT functions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, digital transformation - preferably within complex, multi-site, or regulated industries.
  • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders

  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Collaborative and proactive approach, with proven ability to build strong cross-departmental partnerships.

  • A strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a proven ability to deliver measurable business outcomes.
