Role Overview
The Projects Support Officer will assist the Projects Unit in the planning, monitoring, and reporting of climate-related and sustainability initiatives. The role ensures the effective delivery of project tasks within set timelines and budgets, supporting team objectives and contributing to the successful implementation of assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Work under the guidance of the Unit Manager or Line Superior to support the achievement of team objectives and KPIs.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative and logistical support across various project components.
- Documentation and Tracking: Contribute to the preparation and updating of project documentation, work plans, and milestone tracking tools.
- Project Implementation: Support the execution of climate-related or sustainability projects in alignment with the Company’s goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate communication, prepare presentations, briefing notes, and materials for meetings, and ensure smooth information exchange.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Assist in monitoring project resources, expenditures, and timelines, while preparing draft progress summaries and project updates.
- Research and Development: Support research into new technologies, sustainable practices, and project ideas relevant to the Business’s objectives.
- Technical Systems: Assist in using and maintaining digital tools, databases, and project management systems to ensure data accuracy and effective project management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other units and contribute to cross-functional activities as required.
- Other Duties: Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors as necessary.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: Recognised Bachelor’s degree at MQF Level 6 in Engineering or a relevant field, preferably with one year of relevant work experience. Recognition of foreign qualifications through MQRIC is required.
- Experience: Experience in renewable energy systems, battery energy storage systems, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure is an asset.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required. Ability to communicate in Maltese is an advantage.
- Communication Skills: Strong negotiation and communication abilities to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and relevant statistical and analytical software.
- Organisation: Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to take initiative and work independently under guidance.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to support project decision-making.
