Role Overview

Our Client is seeking a proactive and organised Facilities Manager to oversee the smooth delivery of essential operational services, including food, housekeeping, maintenance, and front office administration. This is a key leadership role that requires a balance of hands-on management, strategic thinking, and compassionate stakeholder engagement within the care sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Services: Oversee food operations, housekeeping, maintenance, and front office administration to ensure compliance with legal standards and sector regulations.
• Facility Administration: Handle administrative functions including procurement, audits, payroll processing, and reporting, while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
• Asset Management: Maintain and manage facility assets effectively, assess investment opportunities, and oversee the implementation of approved capital expenditures.
• Budget Administration: Apply cost control methods, streamline resource allocation, and reduce inefficiencies in line with the organisation’s financial objectives.
• Professional Relationship with Stakeholders: Build and maintain positive working relationships with regulatory authorities, service users, relatives, and staff to support a collaborative and respectful working environment.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: A qualification at MQF Level 5 or higher in the health sector is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, particularly within the care or hospitality sector, will be considered an asset.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to remain accessible and transparent across all levels of the organisation.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to manage challenging situations with composure, delegate responsibilities effectively, and show empathy to residents and colleagues.
• Technical Skills: Practical knowledge in facility management systems, procurement processes, and payroll operations.
• Organisation: Excellent time management, analytical capabilities, and an entrepreneurial approach to service delivery.
• Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and a strong sense of accountability in day-to-day operations.
• Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying challenges and implementing sustainable, efficient solutions.
