Role Overview
The Indirect Retail Executive will lead the planning and execution of trade initiatives across indirect retail channels, ensuring a strong in-store presence and measurable commercial impact. This role serves as the key link between marketing, commercial operations, and field teams, driving projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Initiative Planning: Develop and coordinate trade campaigns tailored to indirect retail channels, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Activation Execution: Implement customised retail activations and promotional initiatives to maximise in-store engagement and sales performance.
- Project Leadership: Oversee trade projects end-to-end, monitoring KPIs, timelines, budgets, and compliance with company policies.
- Field Force Communication: Clearly convey priorities and campaign objectives to field teams, ensuring consistent execution at store level.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse execution quality, campaign effectiveness, and budget adherence, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in sales, trade marketing, or commercial roles, preferably within FMCG or retail environments.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required. Proficiency in Maltese is considered an asset.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to present ideas clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective at building relationships across teams and managing collaborative projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in trade marketing planning, retail analytics, and project management tools.
- Organisation: Able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and drive to deliver results.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled at identifying challenges, proposing solutions, and optimising execution for maximum impact.
