Salary Package: €25,000 to €35,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Role Overview
Our Client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and financial management of construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting cost planning, contract evaluation, procurement activities, and ongoing project cost monitoring, working closely with senior team members to ensure efficient and controlled project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Planning & Estimation: Assist senior staff in preparing detailed and accurate cost projections for upcoming projects.
• Tender Support: Contribute to the preparation, organisation, and submission of tender documentation in line with project requirements.
• Project Cost Review: Examine project specifications and contractual terms to identify risks, savings opportunities, and commercial implications.
• Financial Control: Track project expenditure and support the implementation of cost control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Measurement & Documentation: Carry out detailed quantity measurements and maintain accurate supporting records, reports, and project documentation.
• Contract Support: Assist in managing contractual obligations, including payment processes, variations, and change-related instructions.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Education: A Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a comparable qualification in a related field is required.
• Experience: Previous exposure to quantity surveying duties is preferred, ideally with familiarity in the local construction environment.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of both Maltese and English is required to succeed in this role.
• Communication Skills: Able to liaise effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable working within multidisciplinary teams and building strong working relationships.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD, with experience using relevant quantity surveying software.
• Organisation: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines consistently.
• Self-Motivated: Proactive approach with the ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of assessing project data and identifying practical and commercial solutions.
