Job Details:
Giuseppi's Bar & Bistro is one of Malta's longest-established Michelin Plate restaurants, where Chef Patron Michael Diacono has led the kitchen for over 20 years, while Christopher Diacono oversees the front of house, hospitality and guest experience. We are looking for an experienced Full-Time Bartender to join our team. As part of us award-winning restaurant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service, showcasing product knowledge and craftsmanship, and ensuring every guest enjoys the warm, professional hospitality that defines Giuseppi's experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cocktails, mixed drinks, coffees and all beverages to a consistently high standard
- Welcome and serve guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Recommend beverages, wines and daily specials while confidently upselling premium products
- Take food and beverage orders using the POS system
- Prepare drinks for restaurant, terrace and pool service
- Provide professional wine service, including tableside presentation and pouring
- Ensure exceptional guest service by responding promptly to requests and resolving concerns
- Monitor and maintain high standards of beverage quality, presentation and hygiene
- Keep bars, fridges and service stations fully stocked throughout service
- Accept, check and correctly store deliveries
- Prepare syrups, garnishes and all mise en place required for daily service
- Count, sort, store and prepare recyclable beverage containers for collection in accordance with Malta's BCRS regulations, ensuring accurate records and an organized storage area.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment always
- Assist colleagues and support the wider restaurant operation during busy service periods
- Ensure Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards are maintained at all times
- Perform any other duties as reasonably required by Management
Requirements
- Fluent in English
- Previous experience in a bartender role within hospitality
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding customer service with strong attention to detail
- Well organized and able to perform under pressure
- Passion for food, beverage and hospitality
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
