Giuseppi's Bar & Bistro is one of Malta's longest-established Michelin Plate restaurants, where Chef Patron Michael Diacono has led the kitchen for over 20 years, while Christopher Diacono oversees the front of house, hospitality and guest experience. We are looking for an experienced Full-Time Shift Leader to join our team. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Directors, you will play a key role in leading the restaurant floor, ensuring every service runs smoothly while delivering the exceptional standards of food, service and hospitality for which Giuseppi's is renowned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the restaurant team during service.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day restaurant operations.
- Welcome and seat guests while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Support the team during food and beverage service.
- Assist guests with menu and beverage recommendations.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of food, beverage, and service quality.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
- Assist with ordering and receiving deliveries.
- Complete end-of-shift cashing and basic administrative duties.
- Ensure Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Train, motivate, and support team members.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably required by Management.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or shift leader role within hospitality.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service with strong attention to detail.
- Well organized and able to perform under pressure.
- Passion for food, beverages, and hospitality.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
