We are currently seeking a motivated, friendly, and customer-oriented Sales Assistant (Commercial) to join our team and support sales operations while ensuring a high level of customer and business satisfaction.

Brief Job Description

The Sales Assistant supports commercial sales activities by welcoming customers, identifying their needs, providing accurate product and pricing information, processing transactions, and promoting products and services according to company standards.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and identify their needs and preferences
Advise customers and provide accurate information about products, services, and pricing
Assist customers with products and services
Sell additional products and services (e.g. tourist maps, stamps, accommodation, trips)
Process sales transactions and collect payments
Operate the cash register, including checking contents at the start and end of the working day
Maintain product displays and ensure proper labelling, tagging, and theft protection
Organise departments, stock levels, and supplies (order stock and remove faulty goods)
Maintain cleanliness and order of the sales area and products
Track inventory and sales data
Support sales promotions and commercial activities

Educational and skill requirements

Relevant experience for the role.
Strong work ethic and dedication to excellent service.
Be customer-oriented
Be fluent in English and/or Maltese
Be willing to learn and work effectively as part of a team
