

Sales Executive – Food & Beverage Division
Montekristo Direct is seeking an ambitious, highly motivated, and results-oriented Sales
Executive to join its Food & Beverage Division. The successful candidate will be
responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, increasing
market penetration, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sustainable
sales growth across the company's portfolio of premium beverage and consumer brands.
The role requires a proactive individual with strong commercial awareness, excellent
negotiation skills, and a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets within a
competitive marketplace.
Sales Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and product distribution.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within retail, horeca (hotels, restaurants, cafés), catering, and wholesale sectors.
- Expand the customer base through effective prospecting and relationship building activities.
- Maximise sales opportunities within existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
Account Management
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure customers receive exceptional service and support.
- Address customer concerns, complaints, and queries promptly and professionally.
- Monitor customer performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Market Development
- Conduct regular market visits to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activities.
- Gather market intelligence and provide management with relevant feedback and recommendations.
- Assist in launching new products and promotional campaigns.
- Support brand-building initiatives and merchandising activities.
Business Planning and Reporting
- Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, forecasts, route plans, and market feedback reports.
- Maintain up-to-date customer records and account information.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Assist management in developing sales budgets and growth strategies.
Collections and Credit Control
- Monitor customer account balances and ensure payments are collected according to agreed credit terms.
- Follow up on overdue accounts in collaboration with the finance department.
- Maintain healthy debtor levels while preserving strong customer relationships.
Brand Representation
- Represent Montekristo Direct professionally at all times.
- Promote company values and maintain the highest standards of business ethics.
- Attend trade events, exhibitions, product launches, and promotional activities as required.
- Ensure products are presented and displayed according to company standards.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Food & Beverage sales.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the local retail and horeca market.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Valid driving licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and digital sales tools.
