Waiter/Waitress

The Food & Beverage Server (Waiter/Waitress) is responsible for providing efficient, courteous, and professional food and beverage service to guests, in line with company standards. The role contributes to ensuring a positive guest experience while maintaining compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Greet and serve guests in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Present menus, take orders accurately, and serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the service period and respond appropriately to requests or concerns.
Escalate complaints or service issues to the Supervisor or Manager when required.
Set up, maintain, and clear tables and service areas before, during, and after service.
Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Ensure correct handling and storage of equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
Report any hazards, accidents, or incidents immediately to management.
Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure smooth service operations.
Maintain professional conduct, appearance, and punctuality at all times.
Uphold company policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
Carry out any other duties related to the role as reasonably assigned by management.

Educational and skill requirements

Basic education with on-the-job training provided.
Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Previous experience in a food and beverage service role is desirable but not essential.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Order taking and cash handling.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays, in line with operational needs.
Good command of the English language; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
