Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Freight Operations Clerk to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily freight operations, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods, and maintaining accurate documentation and communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor freight shipments (import/export)
• Prepare shipping documentation
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport providers
• Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain accurate data entry
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding shipment status
• Assist with freight quotes, rate negotiations, and scheduling
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and internal procedures
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transport operations (preferred)
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other logistics systems
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Be fluent in both English and Maltese
• Own a valid driving license (B & B1)
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
