Green Skip Services Ltd are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Compliance & Permits Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the company’s waste management operations. Job Overview and Key Functions
The Environmental Compliance & Permits Executive will ensure the company’s full compliance with ERA and IPPC requirements, manage export and facility permits, and maintain high documentation standards.
The position requires a self-motivated individual capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Essential Requirements

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage records to ensure compliance with ERA requirements and audits
- Ensure all export permits are valid; apply for renewals and new permits as necessary.
- Liaise with the Hazardous Waste Coordinator, management, and Yard Supervisor to uphold documentation standards and advise on regulatory changes affecting waste exports.
- Support the maintenance of facility permits and ensure compliance with IPPC regulations.
- Assist management with policy and permit applications, liaising with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Maintain and update client and facility databases.
- Develop and implement customer relationship management processes and monitoring systems.
- Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to improve work methods.
- Assist in staff training and contribute to the development of training methodologies with HR and management.
- Review, update, and amend Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required
- Participate in meetings; attend conferences when required.
- Maintain direct communication with the General Manager and Directors.
Additional Information
- Candidates will undergo waste management training (in-house or external) as required.
- Individuals with prior experience or strong interest in the environmental and/or cleansing sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must hold an MCAST or University degree in Environmental Sciences (or equivalent).
