Payroll Coordinator

Food Chain Ltd is seeking to recruit a Payroll Coordinator as an extension to the current HR Team.

The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the payroll function by ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, maintaining payroll records, and assisting with statutory reporting, to ensure smooth HR and payroll operations across the company.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Processing employee salaries.
  • Handling payroll adjustments, rises in pay, and promotions.
  • Inputting employee data in the payroll system.
  • Entering and monitoring of employee absences.
  • Preparing and submitting internal payroll reports.
  • Updating of engagement & termination records in the Jobsplus portal and payroll system.
  • Handling payroll-related queries from employees and provide timely resolution.
  • Applying for funds such as maternity trust funds.
  • Preparing FSS reports for government department.
  • Submitting end-of-year government reports and supporting annual audits with required documentation.
  • Handling refunds of expenses.
  • Reconciling of petty cash.
  • Calculating and following up on notice periods.
  • Supporting the HR Team in any other duties required.
Educational and skill requirements
  • Minimum O’Level standard of education.
  • Be fluent in English and have good writing skills.
  • Previous experience in payroll will be considered an asset, however training will be provided.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and assisting others where necessary to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
