Chef Tournant
Tribelli – Authentic Maltese Cuisine is a restaurant located at Valletta Waterfront, specialising in traditional Maltese dishes prepared with quality ingredients and modern presentation.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Chef Tournant to join our kitchen team. The selected candidate will support different kitchen sections as required, ensuring consistency, quality, and smooth service during busy periods.
The ideal candidate must be flexible, organised, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Work across different kitchen sections as required
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to restaurant standards
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef during preparation and service
- Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations
- Follow HACCP, hygiene, and food safety procedures at all times
- Assist with stock rotation and reduce food waste
- Support other kitchen team members during busy service
- Ensure smooth communication between kitchen sections
- Help maintain consistency across all dishes served
Educational and skill requirements
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is required
- Experience as Chef Tournant, Chef de Partie, or similar role preferred
- Knowledge of Mediterranean or Maltese cuisine will be considered an asset
- Good understanding of food safety and HACCP standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy restaurant environment
- Flexible and willing to work across different sections
- Reliable, organised, and team-oriented
- Candidate must currently be residing in Malta
- Valid work permit in Malta is required
- Skill Pass certification is considered an asset
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays is required
