Brief Position Description

The Chef de Partie will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.

The ideal candidate must be organised, disciplined, and capable of working efficiently during busy service periods.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your assigned section
  • Maintain consistency in portion control and presentation
  • Ensure high hygiene and HACCP standards at all times
  • Assist in stock rotation and minimising food waste
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef
  • Support junior kitchen staff when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your section
  • Ensure smooth and timely service during peak hours
Educational and skill requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a professional kitchen 
  • Experience in Mediterranean cuisine (Maltese cuisine is an asset)
  • Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Organised, reliable, and disciplined
