Hotel Commercial & Operations Manager

About the Role
ESSE Ltd. on behalf of Evolve RS Group are currently seeking a Hotel Commercial and Operations Manager who will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel while driving sales performance, guest experience, and commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest relations
- Personally manage guest experience, advance guest contact, and in-stay follow-ups
- Drive sales for corporate, group, events, and leisure business
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance across all areas
- Monitor and manage housekeeping and maintenance to ensure all issues are followed through
- Monitor and manage online guest reviews (TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Expedia) and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure breakfast and F&B offerings meet guest expectations while remaining within agreed budgets
- Work with Directors on occupancy forecasts, and monthly performance reviews
- Drive sales activity for corporate, group, event, and leisure business
- Implement marketing and website actions to grow local and international demand
- Monitor departmental costs and operational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement
- Support revenue growth while maintaining cost awareness across operations
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate hotel staff across departments
- Reinforce service standards, accountability, and team engagement
- Act as the main operational link between departments and Directors
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and guest-focused team culture
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role within hospitality
- Experience in boutique or small luxury hotel operations preferred
- Proven ability to manage teams across multiple departments
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, sales, and cost control
- Commercially minded with a guest-focused, hands-on approach
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Maltese or other languages is an asset
