Waiter/Waitress

Elba Restaurant (Falbra Limited) is looking for a friendly and efficient Waiter/Waitress to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our customers.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Greeting and seating customers
Taking food and drink orders and relaying them to the kitchen staff
Providing detailed information about menu items and providing recommendations
Upselling menu items and promoting specials to customers
Ensuring accuracy of orders and addressing any issues or complaints
Maintaining a clean and organized dining area
Processing payments and handling cash payments
Communicating food allergies, dietary restrictions, special requests to the kitchen staff

Educational and skill requirements

Prior serving experience is required
Must have good knowledge in Mediterranean, Asian Fusion Cuisine and Sushi
Knowledge in wines and spirits will be considered an asset
The ideal candidate also must understand how the dishes are made and what are the ingredients to meet customer satisfaction and make recommendations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within a team
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Fluency in English is a must.
