Support Worker (Reduced Basis)

We're looking for a passionate and caring Support Worker to join our STAR Programme on a Reduced Basis (30 hours per week). If you're someone who believes in inclusion, empowerment, and creating meaningful moments, we'd love to hear from you!

What you'll be doing

  • Work with individuals during their daily activities to encourage active participation and engagement to the best of their abilities.
  • Support individuals during service delivery, including assisting with daily feeding, personal hygiene, toileting, changing, and transitions.
  • Support clients during animal interaction and therapeutic horseback riding sessions.
  • Assist individuals during pool sessions under the guidance of the instructor or therapist.
  • Carry out activities in the multisensory rooms as recommended by therapists.
  • Provide active support during vocational training activities where appropriate.
  • Supervise clients during transport as required by the program.
  • Follow therapists' recommendations based on the individual needs of each client.
  • Follow tutors', teachers', and therapists' recommendations in line with each individual's SMART goals.
  • Implement each individual's Behaviour Support Plan, Risk Assessment, and Sensory Profile under the guidance of tutors and therapists.
  • Actively support individuals in participating in sessions according to the planned curriculum and activities.
  • Research and develop creative approaches to deliver sessions that meet the needs of individuals and groups, when required.
  • Assist tutors, teachers, and therapists in delivering small-group sessions in line with the curriculum and planned activities, when required.
  • Maintain continuous professional development by proactively expanding knowledge and participating in training provided by Inspire.

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate should be a collaborative, supportive, dedicated and experienced, carer professional ready to support and assist our service users throughout different activities/sessions during the daily programme operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognized qualification at MQF Level 3 or higher (minimum of 60 ECTS/ECVET) in Health and Social Care.
  • Previous experience working within the disability sector, particularly supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or challenging behaviours.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English.
