Role Overview
Heroix is collaborating with a respected organisation in the legal services sector to recruit a Licensing and Compliance Coordinator. The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational assistance across client licensing and compliance matters, with particular exposure to the gaming and gambling sectors, but also other regulated business areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain well-organized regulatory resources and ensure that relevant licensing information is readily accessible to colleagues and senior professionals.
- Provide administrative support for licence-related responsibilities across Malta and other international jurisdictions.
- Assist with the preparation of new licence applications, renewals, and regulatory approval requests by completing documentation, gathering supporting records, and maintaining accurate deadline trackers.
- Support senior colleagues with ongoing regulatory compliance activities for businesses operating in the gaming, gambling, and other regulated sectors.
- Draft professional correspondence and coordinate documentation for submissions and communications with regulatory authorities in Malta and overseas.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions, identify key updates, and escalate important matters to senior team members.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain compliance records required for regulatory reviews, inspections, and audit exercises.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the practice and contribute to a professional, supportive, and cooperative working environment.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Law, Compliance, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least two years of experience in a compliance-related role, including practical experience with Customer Due Diligence (CDD). Previous exposure to regulatory permissions or licence administration is considered an advantage.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Maltese is considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional correspondence and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across different teams and jurisdictions.
- Sound knowledge of Malta’s licensing framework, including the ability to prepare and review application forms, supporting documentation, and compliance records.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive, with the ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify missing information, anticipate administrative issues, and help ensure regulatory processes progress efficiently.
