Role Overview

Heroix is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawyer to join its Client's Tax & Immigration Department, with a focus on Private Client and Immigration matters. This role involves advising clients on residency, citizenship, and personal tax planning, while managing applications and liaising with local authorities to ensure a seamless client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising Clients: Provide guidance to individual clients on residency and citizenship options available under Maltese law.
• Application Management: Prepare and submit applications for residence permits, visas, and work permits, coordinating with relevant authorities.
• Legal Documentation: Draft and review documents related to personal tax planning, powers of attorney, wills, and asset structuring.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external service providers to facilitate smooth client processes.
• Legal Updates: Stay informed of developments in local and international immigration law to provide accurate and current advice.
  
  

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: In the final year of the M.adv. qualification or fully qualified.
• Experience: Previous exposure to immigration law or related fields is advantageous but not essential.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of both Maltese and English is required.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining professional relationships.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of Maltese residency, citizenship, and immigration laws, as well as personal tax planning documentation.
• Organisation: Ability to manage multiple applications and tasks efficiently under deadlines.
• Self-Motivated: Driven and results-oriented with a proactive approach to work.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying issues and providing practical, compliant solutions.
