
Kitchen Helper
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in basic food preparation (washing, peeling, shopping ingredients)
· Support senior chefs in simple cooking tasks as instructed
· Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations
· Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
· Properly store ingredients and monitor stock rotation
· Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
· Perform other duties that may be assigned, depending on business necessities
Skills & Competencies
· Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation
· Willingness to learn and take direction
· Teamwork and cooperation
· Attention to detail (especially hygiene and cleanliness)
· Basic time management skills
Effort
· Physical work requiring standing for extended periods.
· Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 15 kilos and occasionally lift/move 20 kilos.
· Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity

Working environment
- Fast-paced kitchen environment with strict hygiene standards
- Exposure to heat, kitchen machinery noise and production environment conditions
