
Junior Chef/Cook
Karrot & Ko - The House of Lunch is seeking to recruit a cook or junior chef on a full time or part time basis (Week day mornings). Amongst the responsibilites entailed for this role, the selected candidate will be responsible to prepare daily meals and snacks including helping with drafting weekly menus and stock control. The candidate will also need to make sure that the highest sanitary levels are kept at all times.
Working hours are from Monday to Friday from 07:00 hrs to 15:30 hrs with alternating Saturday Mornings.
The ideal candidate must be dynamic and ready to work on his/her own initiative with minimum supervision. He/she should possess a high level of spoken, written and understandable english and has a very good working knowledge of food, cooking methods, ingredients and processes, has the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure. Knowlegde of outside catering and costings are considered an asset.

- Preparation of Meals
- Maintain a clean and sanatory environment
- Full fill orders
- Monitor stock levels
- Help in Drafting Menus
- Good knowledge of cooking methods
- Excellent knowledge of ingredients
- In possession of a Food Handling Certificate
- Daily Meals
