We are currently looking for a Hostess to join our well-known restaurants.

The Job

• Responsible for greeting guests and escorting them to the dining and bar areas.
• Welcome guests to the venue and ensure they have a positive experience from arrival to departure.
• Take names for the waiting list, provide accurate wait times, and manage reservations.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to queries regarding the menu and the restaurant.
• Greet and seat guests, present menus, explain menu items, promote dishes, and inform guests of daily specials.
• Monitor tables to track clean, dirty, and occupied status.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including food and beverages, with attention to allergies, side dishes, and daily specialties.
• Foster a climate of friendly cooperation and guest satisfaction.
• Encourage positive social media reviews on platforms such as TripAdvisor, Google, and Instagram.
• Keep the reception area clean; sweep the foyer and front entrance regularly.
• Perform routine cleaning duties, including deep cleaning of assigned areas as scheduled.
• Clean, organize, and stock menus at the host stand.
• Participate in training and development programs offered by the organisation.
• Carry out additional ad hoc duties as directed by the Head of Department.
• Perform other duties as the Employer may deem appropriate during the term of the agreement.

Job Requirements

• 1 year of working experience in high-end restaurants.
• Good understanding of how the role contributes to the success of the restaurant.
• Willingness to work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of any other European language is an asset.
• Ability to conform to grooming standards.
• Good time management skills.
