Events Manager

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and personable Events Manager to join our team at The Villa
Bologna Restaurant. The ideal candidate will combine excellent communication skills with strong
attention to detail, and will thrive in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.
As Events Manager, you will be the first point of contact for clients enquiring about events, group
bookings and dining experiences across multiple channels. You will take ownership of the planning and
coordination of small events and group bookings, build and nurture relationships with hotel concierges,
travel agencies and DMCs, and ensure that every guest experience reflects the standards and character
of The Villa Bologna Restaurant.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries received through various channels, including
WhatsApp, Facebook, email and phone
• Manage end-to-end event planning and bookings and overall coordination
• Take full ownership of small events and group bookings, ensuring smooth execution from initial
enquiry through to event completion
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with hotel concierges, travel agencies and
DMCs to drive new business and referrals
• Monitor and respond to all online reviews in a timely, professional and brand-appropriate
manner
• Liaise closely with the kitchen, front-of-house and management teams to ensure all event
details are communicated clearly and executed seamlessly
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, client correspondence and event details using the
relevant tracking and booking systems
• Support management with bookings and hosting and assist with other duties as assigned by management

Educational and skill requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in events management, hospitality coordination or a similar
customer-facing role
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages an advantage
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and enquiries
simultaneously
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, professional manner
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the events calendar
