Chef de Partie

We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis at Zitti Restaurant at the vibrant Merchants Street Valletta. The Chef de Partie will be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, preparing high-quality food that meets the Zitti Restuaurant standards as set by the Sous/Head Chef.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the rest of the culinary team to ensure high-quality food and service.
  • Stocktake and order supplies for your station.
  • Assist in other areas of the kitchen when required.
  • Plate and present meal items in line with Head Chef standards and requirements.
  • Discard all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Proven commercial kitchen experience.
  • Ability to work well in a team and to collaborate with all staff in the restaurant.
  • Secondary school minimum level of education; Computer literacy.
  • Formal Education in Culinary Arts is preferred.
  • Food Handling Licence B.
  • Skills Pass certificate.
