Cashier

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our team. The role involves serving customers, processing payments, maintaining an organized checkout area, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the store.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately.
Operate the cash register and issue receipts.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized checkout area.
Restock shelves and ensure products are well presented when required.
Assist customers with product enquiries and direct them to the appropriate items.
Verify customer age when selling age-restricted products.
Handle returns and exchanges in line with company procedures.
Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
Support the store team with general daily operations and housekeeping.
Help maintain stock levels and report low-stock items.
Follow company policies, health and safety procedures, and security guidelines.

Educational and skill requirements

Good command of both English and Maltese (spoken and written).
Valid work permit for employment in Malta (if applicable).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Friendly, reliable, and professional attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous retail or cashier experience is considered an asset but is not essential.
