Bartender

We are seeking a skilled and personable Bartender to join our team and provide exceptional beverage service to our customers.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Preparing of mixed beverages & cocktails in a timely and presentable manner
Welcoming & Serving guests to the bar/restaurant
Advising guests of any specials and assisting with beverage selection
Consistent monitoring of beverage and service standards
Handling guest complaints
Suggest beverages to the guest and also try to upsell
Take beverage orders from the guest on the handheld point of sale ( POS ) system
Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
Filling in for absent staff as needed
Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with their queries
Serve beverages to the guest as per the course of order
Observe guests and ensure their satisfaction with the beverages and service
Promptly respond to guest with any additional request
Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
Prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table
Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
Understands and can communicate products and services available
Daily stocking up of fridges and bars
Accepting, checking, and storing of deliveries
Preparation of syrups and all items needed for cocktails
Service of drinks to pool
Cleaning of bar after every service
Any other duties as deemed suitable by the Director & Supervisor

Educational and skill requirements

Fluent in English
Outstanding customer service skills
Previous experience in a similar role
A passion for food, beverage & excellent customer service with an eye for detail
