

Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor
About the Role
This is a varied position combining warehouse supervision, logistics coordination, stock management, and administration. It would suit someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation rather than working solely from an office.
Stivala Wholesale Caterers is looking for a reliable, organised and hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse and distribution operations.The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating warehouse activities, stock control, incoming deliveries, order preparation and delivery logistics, while ensuring that operations are carried out accurately, safely and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee stock control and regular stock takes
- Receive and check local and foreign deliveries
- Verify quantities, dates and lot numbers of incoming stock
- Ensure stock is stored correctly and rotated according to FIFO procedures
- Coordinate the unloading and storage of incoming containers
- Prepare, pick and load customer orders
- Organise and maintain delivery routes
- Coordinate daily deliveries and resolve any delivery-related issues
- Prepare invoices, credit notes, pick lists and related documentation
- Process sales orders and stock adjustments where required
- Monitor warehouse cleanliness and organisation
- Coordinate maintenance of trucks, warehouse equipment and facilities
- Ensure HACCP, hygiene and food-safety procedures are followed
- Monitor the condition of stock and deal with damaged goods appropriately
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day warehouse duties
- Assist with customer service, deliveries and other operational duties when required
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is:
- Organised, responsible and dependable
- Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment
- Able to coordinate several tasks and priorities at the same time
- Accurate when dealing with stock, documentation and customer orders
- A good communicator with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, drivers and sales staff
- Confident taking responsibility for the smooth running of daily warehouse operations
- Familiar with basic computer and administrative work
Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, stock control or a similar role would be considered an advantage.Experience with HACCP, food distribution, inventory systems or warehouse equipment would also be beneficial.
