Piler Operator
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Pile Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the construction process by operating piling equipment to ensure the stability and structural integrity of our projects. Your expertise and commitment to safety will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality construction works.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Your main duty will be to operate heavy steel tubes by driving them into the ground to the required depth, filling them with concrete, and then extracting the tubes to leave the concrete support pile in place.
Other responsibilities include:
- Operating piling machinery, including hydraulic and mechanical rigs, in accordance with project specifications.
- Carrying out pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Working closely with site supervisors and engineers to interpret project plans and ensure accurate pile positioning.
- Monitoring and recording pile installation data, including depth, alignment, and quality control requirements.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment on site.
- Assisting with the training and mentoring of junior operators and site personnel on equipment handling and best practices.
Educational and skill requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Pile Operator or in a similar construction-related role.
- Valid certification or licences for operating piling equipment, together with relevant health and safety qualifications.
- A strong understanding of piling techniques and construction methodologies.
- The ability to read and follow technical drawings, plans, and specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and stamina to safely perform manual tasks and operate heavy machinery.
