Payroll Clerk (Maltese Speaking)

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Compiling, inputting & assisting in monthly payroll execution.
- Liaising with the Human Resource department about payroll monthly changes including engagements & terminations, sickness, salary changes, tax status, bank accounts and any other statutory records for employees.
- Liaise with Work Force Management team in relation to monthly data reporting required for the payroll calculation and leave reconciliation
- Ensure correctness and accuracy of payroll calculation, throughout the whole process.
- Assist employees with any payroll related queries.
- Assist in monthly and annual submissions within stipulated deadlines with the Commissioner for Revenue in relation to monthly and annual submissions within stipulated deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll reports and any NSO reports, as required.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and work closely with the auditors to ensure the completion of a timely audit.
- Assist when and as required with any other finance-related duties.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Educational and skill requirements
- Prior experience in payroll is mandatory
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Fluency in Maltese and English is mandatory.
- Able to multitask and work within deadlines
- Candidates should ideally have basic knowledge and awareness about Information Security
