About the Job

We are looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused and highly organised individual to join our team as a Fgura Branch Operations Coordinator on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will have the primary responsibility for supporting and coordinating the day-to-day operational requirements of the Fgura Branch, while also assisting with front-line foreign exchange activities and ensuring that the branch operates efficiently, professionally and in line with company procedures and standards.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate the day-to-day operational requirements of the Fgura Branch, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of daily activities;
  • Act as a key point of coordination between branch staff, management and other internal departments on operational matters;
  • Assist in organising daily branch requirements, identifying operational issues and ensuring that any necessary follow-up action is taken promptly;
  • Ensure that all foreign exchange and other authorised transactions are completed in a timely and efficient manner and to a high standard of accuracy;
  • Open and close the branch as required and ensure that all prescribed opening, closing, security and operational checks are properly completed;
  • Support the maintenance of high standards of branch presentation, cleanliness, organisation and general upkeep;
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, compliance requirements, internal controls and health and safety standards;
  • Provide support and information to customers over the counter, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times;
  • Address customer enquiries and assist in resolving issues promptly, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience;
  • Maintain and manage cash floats, including balancing and reconciliation procedures and preparation of the daily End of Day documentation;
  • Assist with the monitoring and coordination of cash and foreign currency requirements to support the branch's daily operational needs;
  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, maintaining records, generating reports and handling correspondence;
  • Assist management with the implementation and monitoring of operational procedures, controls and service standards at branch level;
  • Support and guide other branch employees where required to ensure consistency in operational standards and customer service;
  • Promptly escalate any operational, cash, compliance, security or customer-related issues requiring management attention;
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties associated with the effective and professional operation of the branch.
Educational and skill requirements
  • Fluency in both Maltese and English, verbal and written; additional languages will be considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, with an outgoing and pleasant personality;
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills;
  • Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to take responsibility and work effectively on one's own initiative;
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Smart appearance, reliability and punctuality;
  • A positive, proactive and hands-on approach to work;
  • Good working knowledge of basic computer applications and the ability to use point-of-sale and other operational systems;
  • A high level of integrity, discretion and professionalism when handling cash, sensitive financial information and customer data;
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute towards maintaining consistently high branch standards.
