Farsonsdirect Manager

At Farsons, a vacancy has developed for a Manager who will be responsible for the direct management of the Retail Operations for Farsons Beverage Imports Company Limited (Farsonsdirect). Reporting to the General Manager, the chosen candidate will be expected to contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of a business strategy that maximises sales of the full portfolio, while enhancing the retail margins of the Group through driving sales and controlling costs. S/he will also be expected to continue nurturing a motivated and high-performing team through effective leadership and line management of the retail staff.

To be successful in this role, you need to have a good knowledge of and passion for wines and spirits, as well as the experience, knowledge and skills required in the retail sales market, including visual merchandising.

Other requisites include:

• Preferably possessing a degree or professional business qualification;
• Having the energy and leadership skills to motivate a sales and distribution team;
• Demonstrated ability to manage detail-oriented budgets, achieve objectives, and implement effective operating controls;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese;
• A proven track record of building strong partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders;
• Excellent organisational skills;
• Excellent customer service skills, with a strong commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service.
