

Cleaning Attendant
Oxford House, synonymous with the import and retail of home appliances, kitchens, home furniture, bedding and office solutions, is seeking to recruit the services of a detail-oriented and hardworking Cleaning Assistant to maintain high standards of cleanliness in our showrooms, offices, lifts, parking areas and public/common areas.
The Cleaning Attendant plays a vital role in upholding the Company’s standards and ensuring every visitor experiences a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. As a company that showcases high-end appliances and furniture, maintaining a spotless and inviting environment is essential to our brand image and customer experience. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be proactive, and ensure all areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Cleaning and polishing of all showroom floors, and display surfaces; ensuring all displays are free of fingerprints, smudges, and dust.
- Deep cleaning and polishing of glass surfaces, windows (interior and exterior), and glass partitions.
- Sweeping and washing terraces and balconies, staircases and handrails, and ensuring that lifts are constantly clean.
- Cleaning of the company’s parking and storage areas, ensuring they are tidy and safe.
- Cleaning and sanitizing desks, meeting rooms, break rooms, glass partitions and common areas, and maintaining the appearance of furniture, appliances, and decorative items.
- Vacuuming carpets and maintain hard floors, emptying of bins and responsible disposal of waste according to the company’s policies and procedures.
- The hygienic upkeep of customer and staff restrooms and waiting areas; and replenishing of supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen, staff and pantry areas, Fire Escapes and Emergency Routes.
- Reporting any damages or maintenance issues to your supervisor or to the Facilities Manager.
- Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and notify the Supervisor when stock is low.
- Assisting during events, gatherings, or special setups as required for and during Company events as determined by organisational needs.
- Working and interact positively with the rest of the team and liaise directly with the line managers, to maintain an inviting customer-ready environment.
- Proven experience as a Cleaning Attendant, janitor, or cleaner (retail or office environment preferred).
- Experience working in retail showrooms or commercial office settings.
- Comfortable working with delicate furniture and high-end appliances.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of cleanliness and order.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively as well as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, and standing for long periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Trustworthy, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
