Batching Plant Operator

Responsibilities:

• Operate computerized batching systems to accurately weigh and mix ingredients according to specifications.
• Monitor the batching process to ensure proper proportions of water, cement, aggregates, and additives are used in each batch.
• Adjust the batching process as needed to maintain consistency and quality of the concrete mix.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on batching plant equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime.
• Coordinate with production supervisors and other team members to schedule and prioritize concrete production to meet project deadlines.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment at the batching plant.
• Keep accurate records of production output, material usage, and equipment maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Train new employees on batching plant operations and safety procedures.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and contractors to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of concrete

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a batching plant operator or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of concrete mixing processes and batching plant operations.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
