About This Job

89.7 BAY Radio is looking for a creative, fast-moving Social Video Creator who lives and breathes short‑form content. You’ll film, edit and publish high‑impact videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, turning on‑air moments and BAY’s personality into standout digital content.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Film short-form content in-studio, on location and at events using phones and mirrorless/DSLR cameras.
Set up well‑framed, well‑lit shots suited for social platforms.
Capture presenters, interviews, competitions, behind‑the‑scenes and on‑air highlights.
Edit videos optimised for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, including captions, text overlays, transitions and trending audio.
Create engaging narratives from on-air moments with strong hooks, pacing and social-first storytelling.
Produce content for commercial partners and paid campaigns while staying true to BAY’s tone and audience.
Stay on top of trends, sounds, formats and editing styles.
Collaborate closely with presenters, producers, marketing and the digital team.

Educational and skill requirements

Proven experience creating Reels, TikToks or Shorts (portfolio, showreel or active account required).
Strong ability to translate audio/live moments into compelling visual content.
Confident camera skills - framing, focus, exposure.
Solid short‑form editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut or similar).
Great sense of timing, storytelling and social culture.
Ability to balance creativity with commercial objectives.
